Seven elegant, uncluttered suites, all with en-suite bathroom and private garden, provide accommodation for up to 24 guests.
The rooms are ordered in a circular formation on the ruins of a stone-built ‘kraal’ or homestead, built by an indigenous people who had fallen in love with and lived off this earth long before even Pierneef.
Pierneef’s Kraal offers a relaxing, urban sleepover experience, that appeals to different types of visitors to the city:
Business, political and academic travellers enjoy the luxury and privacy we offer, coupled with the time-saving convenience of our location and its accessibility by means of major motorways. Add to that proximity to places of commercial interest.
Small conference and corporate groups book here because the bespoke rooms enable efficient, private strategising and management sessions, while groups can also relax outside in the evenings, enjoying the city’s famously pleasant weather.
Families come here for the sprawling lawns, the relaxed, farm-like atmosphere and the unpretentious, effortless practicality of the site design and our proximity to upscale malls and attractions like the Pretoria National Botanical Gardens (a vast 76 hectares and home to the South African National Biodiversity Institute).
“Pragtige, unieke oase in die stad!” – Anja Pollard
“We are booking the whole guesthouse for our conference next year - we will never stay anywhere else when visiting Pretoria or Johannesburg. These Capetonians will definitely be back!” – Philip Strauss
